What this page covers
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your access to and use of securityoverview.com and the public information we publish on it. They form a binding agreement between you and Security Overview LLC ("Security Overview," "we," "our," or "us"). By using the site you agree to these Terms.
If we agree to perform security services for you, those services are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement signed at onboarding, not by these Terms. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer to perform services on specified terms; service scope, fees, and obligations are set in the engagement contract.
Informational use only
The information published on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute security, legal, compliance, or other professional advice. Reading this site does not create a client, advisory, or consulting relationship between you and Security Overview. Any reliance you place on the information is at your own risk.
Acceptable use
When using the website, you agree not to:
- Use the site or its content for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the site using automated means, except for the limited purpose of public search-engine indexing and only in accordance with our robots.txt file.
- Conduct security testing, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or similar probing of the site, our infrastructure, or our sub-processors without our prior written authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the site, including by introducing malware, attempting to gain unauthorized access, or overloading our infrastructure.

- Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the source of any communication sent through the site.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice appearing on the site.
We may restrict or block access to the website at any time if we reasonably believe a visitor is violating these Terms or applicable law, with or without notice.
Contact-form submissions
Submitting the contact form does not create a service, advisory, or non-disclosure relationship between you and Security Overview. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the contact form. If we agree to evaluate confidential information, we will put an appropriate non-disclosure agreement in place first. Information you choose to submit through the contact form is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
All content on this website, including writing, branding, the Security Overview name and logo, the polyhedron mark, the wordmark, motifs, photography, illustrations, and the design, selection, and arrangement of the foregoing, is owned by Security Overview or licensed for its use, and is protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may share links to public pages and quote short excerpts with attribution to Security Overview. Any other reproduction, distribution, or use of the content requires our prior written permission.
Third-party links
The site may contain links to third-party websites and services. We provide those links as a convenience and do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site. Your use of any third-party site is governed by that site's own terms and privacy practices.
Copyright and trademark concerns
We respect the intellectual property of others. If you believe content on this site infringes a copyright or trademark you own or are authorized to enforce, email privacy@securityoverview.com with: identification of the protected work; the location of the allegedly infringing material on our site; your contact information; a statement of good faith that the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the rightsholder's behalf.
Disclaimers
The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Security Overview disclaims all warranties, express or implied, with respect to the website and its content, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the website will be error-free, secure, or continuously available, or that defects will be corrected. Service-specific representations and warranties, where they exist, are set out in the Master Services Agreement that governs the applicable engagement, not in these Terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Security Overview or its officers, employees, contractors, or sub-processors be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your access to or use of the website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the website will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the website will be the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you and Security Overview consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Security Overview regarding your use of this website and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements regarding the same subject matter.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the website and our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the website after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, please stop using the site.
