Built to connect tools, context, and action.
Security Overview exists because tools, frameworks, and alerts are most useful when they are tied to practical action, not just configuration or documentation. We bring hands-on security experience to managed security, compliance, and testing, with the context kept together.
Why Security Overview exists.
Security Overview was founded in 2023 around a practical observation: security tools have improved, but many teams still need help turning alerts, frameworks, and technical findings into decisions they can act on.
We deliver a focused set of services through one unified team because the services are connected. Detection findings can inform compliance priorities. Compliance gaps can shape endpoint and collaboration controls. Penetration testing findings can guide remediation, hardening, and future validation.
Our standard is straightforward: understand the environment, do the work carefully, and communicate clearly about what matters next. That means practical recommendations, documented follow-through, and honest guidance when a risk needs a decision.
Meet the founder leading the team.
Security Overview is founder-led by design, with technical direction, delivery standards, and client work kept close to the people doing the work.

Founder & CEO
Trevor Spaniola founded Security Overview in 2023 after building and leading cybersecurity services for managed security providers. His background spans security engineering, detection and response, governance and compliance, penetration testing, endpoint security, and collaboration security.
Those disciplines shaped the focused service set Security Overview delivers today. Trevor still leads the team directly, setting delivery standards, reviewing technical direction, and keeping engagements grounded in practical risk, clear communication, and careful follow-through.
